SUPERINTENDENT QUALIFICATIONS
The East Baton Rouge Parish School Board shall elect a Superintendent for the school system who has met or has been certified as meeting the requirements as set by the Louisiana Board of Elementary and Secondary Education (BESE). All applicants for Superintendent shall be fully certified in accordance with Bulletin 746, Louisiana Standards for State Certification of School Board Personnel, or Bulletin 741, Louisiana Handbook for School Administrators, of the Louisiana Department of Education (LDOE), or must provide a written assurance from LDOE that the applicant is eligible for immediate certification as Superintendent if employed by the School Board.
