SCHOOL FOUNDATIONS
Because demands on the educational system exceed available public funding, the East Baton Rouge Parish School Board recognizes that members of the community are often willing to make voluntary contributions that will provide needed additional funds for the school district. The Board encourages the creation of independent educational foundations, such as the Academic Distinction Fund, to actively raise funds that will enhance educational opportunities for students.
The School Board desires to work cooperatively with any foundation in determining the purposes for which funds may be used to meet the changing needs of the district and its students. It is the desire of the Board that all allocations serve all district schools on an equitable basis.
